Description
The story
The Drappiere was one of the oldest offices of the Order of Malta: the figure who provided the monastic habit to the brethren and clothed the needy. First the cloth cross on the garments of those who cared for the sick, then the military uniforms that set the Knights apart amid the chaos of battle.
An expression of the Spanish component of the Order, the Drappiere ensured an outward uniformity that mirrored a shared choice, handed down from one generation to the next. The white blend that bears his name brings Chardonnay and Friulano together under one direction, as the Drappiere kept different identities under the same habit.
Aged in wood. First vintage: 2026.
Limited production of around 1,000 bottles.
