16.00

Artirè represents the most important white wine of the company; a classy blend, very soft and round, it has a great structure and complexity with very elegant aromas. Given its structure, it is certainly a wine to be paired with hearty dishes and lean meat, and it is excellent with any type of fish.

How the label is born

Labels are chapters of a long story; each one tells and becomes the vehicle to convey the value of the wine and of those who produce it.

In the Chapel of Castello di Magione, beneath the 1500 fresco, “Madonna with the Child between St. John the Baptist and James”, the remains of an older fresco have been brought to light by partially removing the fresco above it. This work dates back to the mid-15th century and depicts the Mass according to St. Gregory and the carnification of Christ through the Holy Grail. Above the window, the risen Christ is depicted with the cross resting on his shoulder, which falls into the chalice placed at the bottom left, the Holy Grail. Of the detached part of the fresco depicting St. John the Baptist, what remains here is the sinopia, and the painting is preserved in the sacristy next to the chapel. The quality of the older fresco is inferior to the one covering it, and it is also considerably damaged. ARTIRE’ (to withdraw) draws from the popular tradition, “Vocabulary of the dialect of Magione”, G. Moretti, Perugia 1973.
