Description
The story
Vittoriosa is the name given to ancient Birgu after the Great Siege of 1565. Perched on a promontory facing Valletta, it is where the Order of Malta organised its defence against the Ottoman army.
Phoenicians, Romans and Arabs had already left their mark on those rocks. The Knights added their own, and the name Vittoriosa sealed the valour of that resistance for ever.
The red blend that bears this name is born at Castello di Magione from Merlot and Pinot Noir grapes. In production since 2011.
Around 6,600 bottles.
